Your Niece Josie and Sister Irene will miss their "Uncle Bernard Day" and special visits to his home where he was well looked after by the excellent Staff in his later years. Rest in peace ....xx
Hope it's always tea time wherever you are.
I loved the Fridays we spend with you and Grandma when we were small. Rosie and Jim on the TV, painting pictures in the shed, playing with the strip of sand in the garden, the tent when it was sunny and confusing when we all played dominoes you just about remembered all of of our names and we swapped round on you. In your words..."thank you for calling but I think it's tea time now".
Goodnight grandad xxx
To all the family, my sincere condolences to you all. You have lost the cornerstone of the family, but you each have special memories of your Dad and Grandad and Great Grandad.
I have found memories of you helping at the school youth club - you were such a kind and gentle man rest in peace. My thoughts are with you Judith, Christine, Nigel and your families
Such a lovely, kind man who had a great sense of humour and always cracked a joke. A shame he can't have the send off he deserved. My sincere condolences to all the family....rest in peace Uncle Bernard x
Well what can I say....
I have so many memories of you Grandad, from sitting with you on the odd Saturday morning watching wrestling on tv and having that feeling of motion sickness from you rocking back and forth with every move they made. It was like you were actually in the ring competing. To you answering questions with pardon several times because you couldnt hear us properly.
The last time we took you to the hospital for your hearing aids we laughed when you got your flat cap out to wear and a half eaten bar of chocolate dropped out of it! Who knows how long that had been there!
I will always remember your famous saying Id like to thank you all for coming!
I will miss you Grandad, but know you will be reunited with Grandma.
Rest In Peace Grandad x

Thinking of and sending love to Judith, Christine, Nigel and families at this very sad time. I remember Bernard as an extremely kind and caring neighbour and to us a special family friend.
